This is my go-to tunic dress for when I'm in need of a magnitude of comfort.
Thank goodness the challenge today correlated with my mood!

Took the babes to the library today.
I don't know what's happening...they're so big!
I got some books at the library today too!
Yeah, this is gonna happen.

So I decided this week as well as the weekend, I'm going to educate myself and prep for the oh so inevitable potty training.
I've been reading books and finding endless amounts of information on the internet concerning twin potty training.
What have I learned so far?
Bribery is absolutely encouraged!
Noted.
So, think of this as an update.
Because it was almost a year ago, when I thought we were headed down this potty training road...but I was wrong.
Horribly wrong.
Remember this?
Also...
this is an open call and/or invitation for any advice you may have that I probably won't pick up in the billions of books I borrowed from the library.
You can pray for me too if you want!
P.S.
I wanted to share a quote I stole off a friend's blog that changed my entire morning.
Thanks Sarah!
It was a "Taylor pushing mommy's buttons" kind of day...so this was my lifesaver.
"Never let a problem to be solved become more important than a person to be loved."
I love this.
It's going up on the fridge.
It's moments of chocolate milk spilled on a freshly mopped floor
and
poop in the bathtub
that I need to remember this quote. It certainly kept me grounded this morning and I hope it will continue to. I want my girls to know that I love them more, than I care about the marker on the couch.
xoxo

Only because I am older, and probably NOT wiser, will I give you advice on potty training....and it has EVERYTHING to do with the quote your friend gave you. If you force it, you and your girls will be miserable....bribery DOES work (sometimes)...this is why I still love m'm's....and really, your girls will potty train...they will. It takes alot of patience and determination....but really, them girls gotta wanna do it. So help them understand the benefits...but punishing for mistakes and 'oops' will only make it worse....focus on the positive....End of advice from a very old lady....and by the way, your outfit was cute...my kind of day....comfy!
Yikes, good luck on the potty training, sounds like loads of fun. I won't attempt to give advice, clearly I know nothing and can't remember what worked for me, all I know is, it CAN happen.
P.S. cute outfit, there's nothing I love more than a comfy outfit.
I've never potty trained girls (though I've heard they're easier)...but, rewards...encouragement..and patience. For my boys (I did it the same exact way for both of them, and they were both DONE being potty trained in 8 days), I bought some M&M's, made a sticker chart (I'm not nearly as crafty or creative as you are..so mine was just a lot of little squares...separated into 2 categories: pee and poops), bought some small stickers and sat them on the potty EVERY 10-15 minutes. Seriously. I was a sweaty wreck the first day with each and nothing else around the house got done...but it worked. Then you can space out the times and they'll start to get it. When they have to go...they will. 2 M&M's for pee...3 for poops and then they got to put a sticker in a corresponding block on the chart. Lots of cheering when they do it. Total celebration "Woohoo!!!! Yay!!!! You did it!!! Great job!!!" stuff like that. There WILL be accidents...so don't get angry about that (because chances are, they're embarrassed about it...especially if you make a fuss)...brush it off 'no worries, we'll clean that up ad try again!' They'll get it. They won't wear diapers forever :) Good luck!
oh how I love your outfit and your hair.... you have comfy chic down
I admit that I am glad you will be figuring this potty training thing first, I am sure I will be asking for your advice in a few months! So thanks for reading up on it for the both of us!
All I know is that boys are definitely different then girls when it comes to potty training. I TOTALLY agree with the bribery! It does work! We are doing marbles with disciplining but it could also work with potty training...find some small jars, decorate them cute to make it a big deal, and every time they go potty they put a marble in the jar. when it's full you can have a treasure chest full of fun goodies to choose from! It's fun and it could possibly work!! Good luck girl!! Oh also, have them pick out there very own panties...that's always fun! :)
I'm just glad I've never had to potty train 2 at a time. Good Luck with that! I know how much work it is with just 1. Timers and rewards always worked good for my kids. Set a timer to go off starting every 60 min and have the girls sit on the toilet when it goes off. If they go even a little give them a reward. Then over a few days time increase the amount of time on the timer by 30 minutes. It will help them realize when they need to go. I did it with my older 2 and in 4 days they were going on their own! I'm actually getting ready to start it with my little one soon. Good Luck!
So glad you liked the quote! :) It seriously has had a lasting impact on my life, so I'm so happy and grateful it touched yours as well. I think its gonna be my life motto or something. Anyhoo, patience and perserverence and lots of chocolate for MOMMY got me through potty training!! :) He he he...seriously, you'll need it. Good luck!
