Blah!

That's how I feel! Big, fat blah.
I took the girls to the splash pad today, and the sun drained my soul right out my bod.
My face is hideous and speaks for itself!
But...for the sake of the challenge, I must press on!
I wore my
remix
shirt today.
Woot.
That didn't work out for me so much.
My brother would kill me.
All growing up I razzed him on how peg legged pants are retarded, and now here I am...
28 years old not living in the 90's trying to peg my pants.
Shhhh...don't tell anyone.
I cropped my pegs out of the picture because husband thought it looked ridiculous.
Bummer.
What I not so much learned today, but decided to embrace is...
I need to be my own motivation.
That even when this challenge has come and gone, I can still motivate myself.
And not just in my wardrobe choices...in all my choices.
I find myself fueling my motivation with other sources.
Approval from others, compliments, challenges such as this etc.
It's important to me to motivate myself.
Because when I've become successful, it's that much more exhilarating!

Ha ha I had to let your brother know about your courageous attempt at pegging your pants! I am warning you that you may be hearing from him soon and I can't guarantee he won't return the teasing, but I am so proud of you for going out on a limb and giving it a try! And scowl on your face or not, you still look hot.
But I am mostly impressed with your insight at the end of your post. The motives behind our actions make all the difference, and sometimes I get mixed up doing good things for not the best of reasons. So you're right, when we can find true and lasting motivation from ourselves, our accomplishments mean so much more, and I am most happy when I feel that my actions match up with my what really matters most to ME and not what i perceive others expect of me. But I am still working on it! Thanks for sharing such thought-provoking reminders :)
I LOVE that vest - so cute!! This outfit is great! I love dressing up my jeans with a button-down and a vest. Probably my favorite way to wear jeans to work. :)
